Who needs therapy when you can have creativity?

Hey there! Thanks for taking a minute to see what our shop is all about! My name is Alece Pugh. I am the owner/designer of The Silver Lining Studios. We are a small jewelry design and embroidery studio based in Orange Beach, Alabama. I have been making jewelry pretty much my entire life.  I have always had my hands into something creative. In my twenties, I decided to further my education and took trade classes and attended Revere Academy for jewelry arts in San Francisco. It is there that I fell completely head over heels with the fabrication process. There is something so exhilarating about coming up with an idea in your head, sawing, melting and soldering pieces of metal together and coming up with a tangible finished product. It is even more exciting when someone falls in love with your little piece of art and calls it their own! In 2003, I moved to the Gulf Coast to be closer to the sun and the beaches which inspire me so much.  After opening a gallery and living the retail life for several years, I decided to close down shop and move the the beach in 2012. I now live in sunny Orange Beach, Alabama just a walk from the Beach.   But, I could never give up jewelry designing and I am way to young to retire! Ha. So, I built a new studio and decided to set my focus on getting my work in boutiques and on the web. I also decided to focus on a lot of custom work. The last few years have been a blur. The support from friends and customers has blown me away.  My little business continues to bloom and quickly has taken on a life of its own. I have hired help,  brought on a precious friend as my director of sales, Coralie Scott. We together have found new production ideas and learned to work smarter not harder. Rest assured that every piece is handmade, original and of the finest quality materials. But most of all, every piece is incredibly special to me, which will always yield an incredibly special piece for you. You can find my work in several small shops and boutiques on the Gulf Coast and nationally as well as on the web.   This is my passion, this is my obsession, and this is my life. Without customers like you, this dream would not be possible. Thank you for your support of handmade art!
